Le
coin linguistique
In
March 2001, Industry Canada launched its new Intranet site called "Le
coin linguistique", to help francophones and lovers of the French
language to improve their knowledge and use of "the language of Molière".
BMCC was asked to write the contents of the site, carry out the research
and keep it up to date on a monthly basis. It deals, among other things,
with regional dialects, words borrowed from other languages, proper style
and usage, anglicisms, spelling and grammar. The site, covering five major
themes, is both educational and entertaining.

de la Francophonie canadienne”
As
part of the activities for LAnnée de la Francophonie
canadienne, Industry Canada has launched a new feature in its Employees
Newsletter Argus presenting profiles of employees who have
a particular interest in the French language and culture.
BMCC was asked to interview 20-25 employees and write profiles for this
special year-long feature.
