Ottawa Meetings
The
Project
In November 2001, the RCMP hired BMCC to help co-ordinate the production
of information material for the G-20 Joint Security Team. BMCC helped
produce press releases, backgrounders, Qs and As and speaking notes relating
to the security aspect of this event.
The
Goal
Provided communications advice and counsel to the Joint Security Team
and timely and accurate information to the media.
The
Result
The communications efforts were identified by members of the Joint Security
Team as one of the best to date for such meetings.
RCMP
Internal Communications
The Speech from the Throne and Budget 2000 confirmed the Government’s
commitment to enhance the capacity of the RCMP to promote ‘safe
homes and safe communities’ for Canadians.
BMCC assisted the RCMP with the launch of an internal communications initiative to inform employees and Members of Parliament of the strategic and operational implications of this important goal.
